Meet Emma

A short hello from Emma before you meet.

In her words

Why I do this work

“Hi, I’m Emma! I was born and raised in Kyoto and spent several years living in the United States before returning to Japan in 2024. Having lived abroad, I understand how important it is for traveling families to feel comfortable and supported while exploring a new country. I currently work at a cultural experience facility welcoming international visitors, which allows me to share Japanese culture while communicating in English. I truly enjoy helping families feel at ease in Japan, and I aim to provide attentive, reliable care so parents can relax and fully enjoy their trip while their children feel happy, safe, and engaged.”

Experience & qualifications

Emma's background

My childcare experience began when I worked at a nursery school in Fukuoka, supporting children from 6 months to 6 years old as an English teacher. I led games, read stories, assisted with daily routines such as diaper changes and bathroom support, and helped create a fun and nurturing environment for young children. While living in the U.S., I completed CPR, AED, and First Aid certification in preparation for babysitting work. I genuinely love working with children—their energy and honesty bring me joy—and I continue to build my skills through childcare studies and teaching training, including completing 400 hours of Japanese language teacher training. I look forward to creating meaningful, safe, and enjoyable experiences for children and families visiting Japan.
