Why I do this work
“Hi, my name is Harumi. I am half Japanese and half South African, and I have been living in Japan since I was 12 years old. I currently live here with my two daughters and bring a cheerful, responsible, and caring personality to every family I support. I truly enjoy working with children and creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where they feel comfortable and happy—especially when traveling or adjusting to new surroundings. My goal is to support families by providing reliable care so parents can fully enjoy their time while their children are well looked after.”
Harumi's background
I have three years of babysitting experience, caring for children from newborns to toddlers, and I currently babysit a 5-year-old boy at his home twice a week. I also have around eight years of experience teaching English before COVID, which helped me develop strong communication and childcare skills. I am confident in supporting daily routines, including feeding babies, maintaining structure, and engaging children in fun and age-appropriate activities. I focus on creating a safe and positive environment where children feel secure, supported, and cared for at all times.
