Why I do this work
“Hi, I'm Michelle! I live right here in Tokyo. I know firsthand how magical and overwhelming exploring Japan with little ones can be. With a background in both classroom teaching and hands-on nannying, my heart has always been dedicated to caring for children. I speak native Filipino and fluent English, ensuring easy and comfortable communication for your family. As a gentle, patient, and attentive caregiver, my main goal is to make sure your children feel completely safe, happy, and engaged while you explore.”
Michelle's background
My childcare journey began in the Philippines, where I spent eleven years caring for family members alongside two years working professionally as a paid nanny. Expanding my passion for education, I also spent four and a half years working as an elementary and high school teacher in both private and public school settings. Most recently in Tokyo, I have spent the past five months as an on-call nanny, caring for children aged 2 to 8 years across seven families. My responsibilities include feeding, tutoring, and teaching interactive English lessons. Calm, patient, and warm by nature, I focus on creating a supportive, nurturing environment where children can learn and play, giving parents complete confidence.
