Why I do this work
“Aloha! I’m Vanessa, a caregiver currently living here on beautiful Oahu. With a decade of childcare experience, including international au pair placements and caring for children from six months to 12 years old, I adore helping families feel completely at ease while away from home. I am a native English speaker with basic French, Spanish, and Portuguese, which helps me connect easily with diverse families. I know how precious your vacation time is, and my goal is to make sure your little ones are safe, cherished, and happy.”

Over my ten years of childcare experience, I have worked in a variety of home settings. I was an international au pair in France, where I cared for a 12-year-old girl, and in Australia, where I looked after a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. My background also includes extensive babysitting and dedicated care for infants from 6 months to 1 year old. This has given me a well-rounded foundation across different developmental stages. In these roles, I supported families with daily routines and childcare responsibilities. I brought a gentle and reliable presence to every home. Whether soothing babies or engaging with pre-teens, I adapted quickly to each family's needs so parents felt fully supported.
