“Hello! I’m Umi, a babysitter based in Tokyo with experience in both childcare and education. I truly enjoy working with children and strive to create a safe, warm, and engaging environment where they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while parents enjoy their time in Japan with peace of mind. I am patient, attentive, and naturally bring a creative and active energy to my childcare style. In my free time, I enjoy painting, crafts such as knitting and sewing, cooking, playing the piano, hiking, exercising, and dancing — activities I love sharing with children through fun and meaningful play.”
Umidaの経歴
I have prior babysitting experience alongside five years of teaching English to children of various age groups, including Kumon-style learning support. I connect easily with children and focus on both their safety and emotional well-being while keeping our time together enjoyable and enriching. When appropriate, I am happy to include light, optional activities such as helping with homework, English or Japanese conversation practice, reading books, and creative arts and crafts. These activities are always relaxed and fun, supporting children’s confidence and development in a natural way.
