我做这份工作的原因
“Hi, I’m Sorcha, an Irish woman who has been living in Tokyo for almost two years. During this time, I have worked as a homeroom teacher in an international kindergarten, where I support children in their daily learning, routines, and emotional development. I have also worked privately as a home tutor, and I enjoy creating a calm, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel safe, confident, and happy. Having traveled to over 50 countries and volunteered in several, I bring a global perspective and adaptability that helps me connect easily with families from diverse backgrounds. I am very settled in Tokyo and excited about the opportunity to support families while they travel in Japan.”
Sorcha的背景
I have worked with children since my teenage years, beginning with teaching first aid through St John Ambulance, where I also completed five years of volunteer service and extensive first aid training. For the past two years, I have been a kindergarten homeroom teacher for a class of 12 children aged 4–5, where my responsibilities include teaching, supervising, supporting daily care needs such as changing nappies and handling accidents, and encouraging creativity, kindness, and emotional growth. I also have experience as a private tutor and hold a degree in Applied Languages, allowing me to teach both English and Spanish. I enjoy incorporating dance, light yoga, and mindfulness activities into my care, helping children stay engaged, calm, and expressive.
